Mechanical Design Engineer
We are looking for a motivated individual to work within our engineering team to speed up and enhance the development of new products and support existing products and processes where necessary.

Responsibilities
• Design of equipment packaging both for lab use and offshore / subsea.
• To assist in the evaluation of technical problems and suggest answers.
• To recommend design improvements for reliability and cost-saving.
• To be involved in product development from conception to delivery.
• To support our design draftsman where required.
• General Autocad / mechanical drawings and alterations.

Candidate
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate
• A can-do attitude and practical ability.
• A hands-on approach to design and problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including computer literacy.
• Be able to manage several activities simultaneously.
• Able to work pro-actively alone and in a team environment.

Min Qualifications
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will have a suitable degree or HND in an appropriate discipline, be computer literate in ‘Office’ applications and have experience of Autocad LT. Relevant experience including hands-on practical engineering and work in a design office environment to ISO9000:2008 procedures would be of benefit. Marine/offshore experience is an advantage as is knowledge and experience of electrical/electronic systems.
