Job Title: Product Line Specialist – Marine Geophysics/Sub-bottom Profiling

Reporting to: Group Technical Manager

Due to business growth there is currently an exciting opportunity for a Product Line Specialist with expertise in Marine Geophysics and Sub-bottom Profiling to join our growing and dynamic team.

The role reports to the Group Technical Manager and requires a candidate who can be the driving force behind the technical evolution of the company’s extensive range of subsea geophysical survey products. The position involves the evaluation, design, trialling and testing of the next generation of products, along with the implementation and management of their progress into production. As a Product Specialist, there will be a requirement to offer support to the sales team and assist with post sales advice and technical support to customers, including the possibility of undertaking field demonstrations and conducting on-site and in-house training sessions.

Desired skills, knowledge and experience;

  •  Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject;
  •  Good communication skills;
  •  Observant, inquisitive and have an ability to solve problems;
  •  Previous experience in Marine Geophysics a distinct advantage;
  •  Good attention to detail;
  •  Ability to travel domestically and internationally;
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  •  IT literate, familiar with MS Office applications;
  •  High standard of written and spoken English and

Job Title: Support Engineer – Marine Geophysics/Sub-bottom Profiling

Reporting to: Group Technical Manager

Due to business growth there is currently an exciting opportunity for a Support Engineer with expertise in Marine Geophysics and Sub-bottom Profiling to join our growing and dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be working within the service and support team on the maintenance of client owned sub-bottom profiling systems and developing knowledge on their applications. Some limited offshore time may be necessary, for trials, client training, demonstrations and product evaluations. There will also be the need to support colleagues with other equipment from time to time.

Desired skills, knowledge and experience;

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Observant, inquisitive and have an ability to solve problems;
  • Previous experience in Marine Geophysics a distinct advantage;

Job title: Digital Marketing Executive

Reporting to: Sales Manager

To further expand recent growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing and dynamic team. This is a new role within the company and requires a candidate who is looking to progress their career in a role that will be integral to our ambitious growth plans, with the opportunity to travel domestically and overseas to support marketing campaigns and trade shows.

Main responsibilities:

  • Delivering digital marketing activity to budget and targeted number of conversions across all AAE Technologies Group companies;
  • Assisting with creation, implementation and delivery of the company’s overall marketing strategy, offering innovative suggestions;
  • Producing a range of digital content;
  • Implementing and optimising Google Ads campaigns;
  • Increasing rankings with on-site and off-site SEO;
  • Produce social media content and manage social media accounts;
  • Analysing marketing data and insights on a regular basis;
  • Driving traffic to company websites;
  • Measuring and reporting performance of digital marketing campaigns, as well as experiments and conversion tests;

Job Title: Electronics Production Technician

Reporting to: Production Manager

Recent growth and product developments have necessitated the expansion of the production area creating a new role for an enthusiastic individual to join the team.

Job specification

This role will be to work within the production team building the highest quality mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies that are the core of complex underwater products.  Duties will include;

  •  Electronic board assemblies;
  •  Cable assemblies and
  •  Mechanical chassis assemblies.

The company operates with the latest 3D CAD assembly document packs produced from SolidWorks and operates a fully electronic build and test record system.

All works are carried out to the highest IPC 610 international standards.

Person specification

The successful candidate will have a base knowledge and aptitude in engineering (ideally electronics) with relevant qualifications and be looking for an opportunity to apply this to a career.  Experience within the field of engineering would be beneficial but not essential as we can offer in-house training.

The applicants will be required to build and test subsea electronic and acoustic equipment to a very high standard ensuring all procedures are followed providing  customers the time served quality product that they expect.

The role includes;

  • Making and  fitting wiring assemblies;
  • Manual dexterity to complete mechanical assemblies;
  • Component recognition;
  • Ability to solder through hole and surface mount components;
  • IPC 610 pcb inspection (training can be provided);
  • Knowledge at user level of MS office and
  • Detail approach to documentation control and processing.

The above skills are an advantage although for the right candidate all necessary appropriate training will be provided.

Opportunities for career progression include assisting  in electronic pcb inspection, programming, testing, finished good assembly and system testing.
